Ryan Finney is a designer living and working in Ojai, California. The notion of the unencumbered simple life, the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi, and the natural world are recurring muses. He thinks of his objects as three-dimensional sketches from some rustic lost world.
Ryan started working in plaster in 2020. Shortly thereafter he enlisted a foundry and began casting some of his plaster pieces in bronze, using the lost-wax casting method. His eponymous collection of plaster and bronze lighting and accessories launched at Nickey Kehoe in the summer of 2022.
